    I want to commend CASIT staff for supporting me, faculty member from School of A&AA, on this thorny issue related to a student's academic integrity. Though not under any professional obligation to help me or this student, the CASIT staff acted with utmost professionalism, sounding the alarm when they saw that a student had given a potentially compromised report. Furthermore, [a CASIT manager] agreed to meet the student to work on [their] technical issue, going as far as scheduling two meetings that [they] both missed. I simply want to say thank you for going beyond your professional responsibilities to support another UO faculty member.

    Only complaint is that the first time I made a ticket, the request was apparently lost so after waiting to hearing back for a couple days I called back and had to put in a new request. Other than that, you guys were very helpful and went out of your way to solve my problem. Thank you!

    The service I received was fine, but I am really aggravated by the university's decision to migrate to Exchange without any consultation with faculty. I am very upset at the fact that I have to change email clients from Thunderbird to Outlook, which I have never liked. The only part of the rationale that might be compelling is security, but we were not given any indication of specific benefits there. Things like calendar integration are not compelling at all. This high-handed decision reflects the current climate of extreme centralization at UO and general lack of concern for faculty input and individual preferences.

    Well-- it is very helpful to get a printer quickly, and it took almost 2 weeks start to finish. I should've just gotten one myself. and then the cords to hook it up in the right place did not come with it--so I just lost a bunch of hours figuring out why my computer did not work after it got hooked up...just a bit of a nightmare today.

    [CASIT Tech] has helped me on several occasions, and this time [their] support felt both practically and emotionally critical. [They] supported an all-day Skype series of meetings for a program proposal review with external reviewers. It was an important event, and [they] met with me the day before to be sure the webcam and dept. computer were set up and working, and then visited the next morning to be sure the first meeting got off to a good start.     Terrific help from [CASIT Tech Student] taking in my information and from [CASIT Tech] working with me to solve my problem. They were both professional, courteous and sensitive to my scheduling needs. [CASIT Tech] worked patiently with me to diagnose the problem and direct me to solutions, including finding local help ([...], where I am now located) if I needed it. [Their] first idea of what was the problem was correct, and I was able to fix it because I had another adapter on hand to replace the one that was failing. CAS IT support was always great when I was working on campus, and it remains just as great from my remote location. Thank you!

    I was a little unprepared for the ITC when he came by, but [they] helped me get my new VariDesk set up before [moving] the equipment.     [CASIT Tech] at CASIT saved us a small fortune this week. When the computer controlling our $400K gas isotope ratio mass spectrometer system had its motherboard fail, [they were] able to transfer everything (both software and the fiber optic PCI comm card) to a surplus one we had set aside, in less than three days. Would have been two days if I hadn't failed to tell [them] that it was plugged into the instrument and using 230V, not 110 thus destroying the first power supply. While new hardware is not free, it is not having to purchase Thermo-Fisher's latest software that make for saving a small fortune. Keep up the good work!

    Service was great. I obviously wish that it had gone faster, but understand that bugs happen so I'm very happy they got them fixed! Overall, a great experience.
